Dalia Gala
I started a DPhil in the Davis lab in 2019. I am working on the involvement of glia in synapse development at the neuromuscular junction. I also collaborate with engineers in Micron and in the Department of Engineering to help with microscopy technology development from the point of view of a biologist.

I also collaborate with engineers in Micron and in the Department of Engineering to help with microscopy technology development from the point of view of a biologist. I am also working on our lab's SARS Cov2 collaborations.
Previous Work
Before I joined the Davis lab, I completed my MSci in Molecular and Cellular Biology at the University of Glasgow. During my degree, I completed many internships (at University of Oslo, Monash University in Melbourne, University of Queensland and in Neogen, a company in Nebraska, USA). I completed the second year of my degree on an abroad exchange to the University of Melbourne.
I did my Master’s project at the Thomas Surrey lab in the Francis Crick Institute in London. I was working on the dynamic remodelling of the microtubule cytoskeleton.
Outside the Lab
In my free time, I blog in Polish and in English about access to higher education at https://studiabezgranic.blogspot.com/. I am the Vice-President of the Clarendon Scholars Council. I am the Freshers Representative and the Access Officer in the Merton College MCR.
I also sing soprano in a choir, I play classical guitar, and I row.
