Our latest paper shows that post-transcriptional regulation in the fly nervous system is very common, with discordance between RNA and protein locations found in 97% of 200 studied genes. In this large scale study, with over 1300 figures from different compartments of the brain and peripheral nervous system we found that almost all of the genes studied showed discordance in at least one compartment.
