I joined the Davis lab as a postdoctoral researcher in 2014 where I am now a Marie Curie Fellow. I am working on a gene that has been of interest to the Davis lab for several years, Syncrip. My current research project is centred on how phosphorylation effects the function of Syncrip. This gene has historically been of critical interest to the Davis lab and has been shown to play a key role in neurogenesis. In order to study this I employ a wide-range of genetic and molecular biology techniques.
Before joining the Davis Lab I worked as a post-doctoral researcher in the Baker lab in Leiden in the Netherlands. Here I worked on Notch signalling and it's role in blood-vessel development. Prior to this I gained a PhD in molecular cell biology from UCL in the Pichaud lab, working on a project that investigated patterning in Drosophila eye development.
